एवं वर्षसहस्राणि दिव्यानि विपुलब्रत: । त्रिंशत: कश्यपो राजन् भूमिरासीदतन्द्रित:
evaṁ varṣa-sahasrāṇi divyāni vipula-vrataḥ | triṁśataḥ kaśyapo rājan bhūmir āsīd atandritaḥ ||
¡Oh rey! Así, Kaśyapa, de vasto voto y libre de indolencia, permaneció como la propia Tierra durante treinta mil años divinos.
अजुन उवाच
The verse highlights that unwavering observance of a great vow (vrata), sustained over immense time, is a form of dharma that supports stability and order; vigilance (atandritatā) and endurance are portrayed as ethically transformative powers.
Arjuna reports that the sage Kaśyapa, through prolonged ascetic resolve, remained for an immense span of divine years in the form/state of the Earth, emphasizing his extraordinary tapas and steadfastness.
