Shloka 20
कथितं त्वनयासत्यं गायत्रया कन्यया दिवि । विजेष्याम्यवशानू् सर्व ब्राद्मणांश्वर्मवासस:
kathitaṃ tv anayā satyaṃ gāyatrayā kanyayā divi | vijeṣyāmy avaśān sarvān brāhmaṇān carmavāsasaḥ |
Arjuna dijo: «Lo que ha sido proclamado en el cielo por esta doncella llamada Gāyatrī—que los brāhmaṇas son superiores a los kṣatriyas—no es verdad. Esos brāhmaṇas que visten pieles, en su mayoría, viven dependientes y constreñidos; yo los venceré a todos. En los tres mundos no hay dios ni hombre que pueda apartarme de mi soberanía; por eso soy superior al brāhmaṇa».
