अमानी मानदो मान्यो लोकस्वामी त्रिलोकधृक्‌ । सुमेधा मेधजो धन्य: सत्यमेधा धराधर:

Transliteration

amānī mānado mānyo lokasvāmī trilokadhṛk | sumedhā medhajo dhanyaḥ satyamedhā dharādharaḥ ||

Translation

Bhīṣma dijo: «No busca honra para sí, y sin embargo concede honor a los demás; es digno de veneración. Es el Señor de los mundos, el sustentador de los tres reinos. Dotado de excelente inteligencia, manifestado en el sacrificio, siempre bendito y merecedor de gratitud, poseedor de entendimiento verdadero y noble, sostiene la tierra: así es alabado el Supremo mediante estos epítetos».
