भगवान् भगहानन्दी वनमाली हलायुध: । आदित्यो ज्योतिरादित्य: सहिष्णुर्गतिसत्तम:
bhagavān bhagahānandī vanamālī halāyudhaḥ | ādityo jyotirādityaḥ sahiṣṇur gatisattamaḥ ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: Él es Bhagavān, el Señor Bendito—poseedor y dador de excelencias divinas; Bhagahā, quien arrebata la opulencia para acrecentar el amor de sus devotos; Ānandī, la dicha suprema; Vanamālī, el que porta la guirnalda del bosque; Halāyudha, el que empuña el arado como arma (Balarāma); el Āditya (como Vāmana); Jyotirāditya, la luz radiante que mora en el sol; Sahiṣṇu, el paciente que soporta todos los contrarios; y Gatisattama, el más alto refugio y meta de todos los seres.
