गुरुर्गुरुतमो धाम सत्य: सत्यपराक्रम: । निमिषो5निमिष: सत्रग्वी वाचस्पतिरुदारथी:
gurur gurutamo dhāma satyaḥ satyaparākramaḥ | nimiṣo'nimiṣaḥ sragvī vācaspatir udāradhīḥ ||
Bhīṣma dijo: Él es el Guru, el supremo preceptor; el más excelso de los maestros; el refugio y morada de todo. Es la Verdad misma, cuyo valor jamás falla. Es Aquel cuyos ojos se cierran en el sueño yóguico, y también el Inconmovible de mirada sin parpadeo que toma la forma del Pez. Lleva la guirnalda de la victoria, y como Señor de la palabra y del conocimiento, posee un intelecto noble y luminoso que hace manifiestas las realidades.
