न क्रोधो न च मात्सर्य न लोभो नाशुभा मति: । भवन्ति कृतपुण्यानां भक्तानां पुरुषोत्तमे
na krodho na ca mātsaryaṁ na lobho nāśubhā matiḥ | bhavanti kṛta-puṇyānāṁ bhaktānāṁ puruṣottame ||
Dijo Bhīṣma: En los devotos de alma meritoria, cuando su devoción está fija en el Ser Supremo (Puruṣottama), no surge la ira, ni la envidia, ni la codicia; y su entendimiento jamás se inclina hacia lo impuro o dañino.
भीष्म उवाच
True devotion to Puruṣottama, supported by accumulated merit and right conduct, naturally weakens and removes inner vices—anger, envy, and greed—and keeps the intellect from turning toward impure or harmful aims.
