Shloka 116

प्रमाणं प्राणनिलय: प्राणभृत्‌ प्राणजीवन: । तत्त्वं तत्त्वविदेकात्मा जन्ममृत्युजरातिग:

bhīṣma uvāca | pramāṇaṁ prāṇanilayaḥ prāṇabhṛt prāṇajīvanaḥ | tattvaṁ tattvavidekātmā janmamṛtyujarātigaḥ ||

Bhīṣma dijo: Él es la medida y la autoridad de la verdad, evidente por sí misma; el asiento de los alientos vitales; el sustentador de todas las fuerzas de vida; quien mantiene a los seres con vida mediante el movimiento del prāṇa. Él es la Realidad misma, el conocedor de la Realidad, el Uno sin segundo, y está por completo más allá de las condiciones corporales del nacimiento, la muerte y la vejez.

The verse praises the Supreme principle as self-validating truth, the foundation and sustainer of life-breath, identical with ultimate Reality, and non-dual—transcending the bodily cycle of birth, death, and aging.
