Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
उत्पादितं वृषाड्केन दीप्तज्वलनसंनिभम् | दत्तं भगवता तुभ्य॑ दुर्धर्ष तेजसाद्भुतम्
utpāditaṃ vṛṣāṅkena dīptajvalanasaṃnibham | dattaṃ bhagavatā tubhya durdharṣaṃ tejasādbhutam ||
Dijo Vāsudeva: «Esa arma, resplandeciente como fuego encendido, fue engendrada por el Señor que porta la marca del toro (Śiva) y te fue entregada. Dotada de un fulgor maravilloso e irresistible, es inconquistable: un don que Śaṅkara concedió antaño tras abatir al demonio orgulloso que moraba en las aguas.»
