Śiva-nāmānukīrtana-prastāvaḥ
Prologue to the praise of Śiva and the Upamanyu testimony
रुद्रभवत्या तु कृष्णेन जगद् व्याप्तं महात्मना । त॑ं प्रसाद्य तदा देवं बदर्या किल भारत
rudrabhavatyā tu kṛṣṇena jagad vyāptaṃ mahātmanā | taṃ prasādya tadā devaṃ badaryā kila bhārata ||
Dijo Bhishma: Por aquel Krishna magnánimo—investido del poder de Rudra—el mundo entero está penetrado. Oh Bharata, se cuenta que en tiempos antiguos, tras aplacar a ese dios (Mahadeva) en Badarī, Krishna obtuvo del Señor de visión divina un estado de predilección que supera a todas las demás cosas; así llegó a ser el más amado en todos los mundos.
