Umā’s Inquiry and the Manifestation of the Third Eye (उमा–प्रश्नः तृतीयनेत्रोत्पत्तिः)

न त्वमल्पेन तपसा दानेन नियमेन वा । इमं लोकमनुप्राप्ता त्वं हि तत्त्व वदस्व मे

na tvam alpena tapasā dānena niyamena vā | imaṁ lokam anuprāptā tvaṁ hi tattvaṁ vadasva me ||

Dijo Bhishma: «Ciertamente no has alcanzado este estado y este mundo con una austeridad pequeña, ni sólo con caridad o con meras restricciones externas. Puesto que has llegado aquí, dime el principio verdadero: háblame de la realidad tal como es.»
