Praise of the ‘Mental Tīrtha’ and the Marks of Purity
The verse frames celestial enjoyment as a consequence of accumulated merit and virtuous qualities: one attains honored status and refined pleasures in higher worlds not by mere desire, but through prior dharmic conduct that bears fruit.
Bhishma describes the posthumous condition of a meritorious person: adorned with divine ornaments, traveling freely in a splendid vimana, honored by apsarases, and enjoying the company of heavenly maidens in celestial realms.
