Vāsuki’s Anxiety and Brahmā’s Confirmation

सौतिर्वाच बहुत्वान्नामधेयानि पन्नगानां तपोधन । न कीर्तयिष्ये सर्वेषां प्राधान्येन तु मे शृूणु,उग्रश्रवाजीने कहा--तपोधन! सर्पोंकी संख्या बहुत है; अतः उन सबके नाम तो नहीं कहूँगा, किंतु उनमें जो मुख्य-मुख्य सर्प हैं, उनके नाम मुझसे सुनिये

sautir uvāca bahutvān nāmadheyāni pannagānāṃ tapodhana | na kīrtayiṣye sarveṣāṃ prādhānyena tu me śṛṇu ||

Ugraśravas, hijo del Sūta, dijo: «Oh asceta rico en austeridades, los nāgas son innumerables; por ello no recitaré los nombres de todos. Escucha, en cambio, de mí los que son los más eminentes entre ellos».
