Dijo Vaiśampāyana: «Cuando el fuego crezca en furia y el viento sople con rapidez, mis hijos no podrán librarse—no podrán escapar de las llamas».
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights how adverse conditions can rapidly overwhelm the unprepared: when destructive forces (fire intensified by wind) combine, mere intention is not enough—one needs timely protection, foresight, and effective means of escape.
Vaiśampāyana reports a fearful anticipation: as the fire strengthens and the wind drives it, the speaker foresees that his children will be unable to get free, emphasizing the immediacy and inevitability of the danger.
