Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः
जन्मप्रभृति कृष्णश्व चक्रे तस्य क्रिया: शुभा: । स चापि ववृधे बाल: शुक्लपक्षे यथा शशी,श्रीकृष्णने जन्मसे ही उसके लालन-पालनकी सुन्दर व्यवस्थाएँ की थीं। बालक अभिमन्यु शुक्लपक्षके चन्द्रमाकी भाँति दिनोंदिन बढ़ने लगा
janmaprabhṛti kṛṣṇaśva cakre tasya kriyāḥ śubhāḥ | sa cāpi vavṛdhe bālaḥ śuklapakṣe yathā śaśī ||
Dijo Vaiśampāyana: Desde su nacimiento, Kṛṣṇaśva dispuso para el niño ritos auspiciosos y el debido cuidado. Y el muchacho, así nutrido, crecía día tras día, como la luna que aumenta en la quincena luminosa.
