Śārṅgakānāṃ Avināśaḥ (Why the Śārṅga Birds Were Spared) | शार्ङ्गकानामविनाशः
वासुदेवस्तु पार्थेन तत्रैव सह भारत । उवास नगरे रम्ये शक्रप्रस्थे महात्मना,जनमेजय! परंतु भगवान् वासुदेव महात्मा अर्जुनके साथ रमणीय इन्द्रप्रस्थमें ही ठहर गये
vāsudevas tu pārthena tatraiva saha bhārata | uvāsa nagare ramye śakraprasthe mahātmanā janamejaya ||
Vaiśaṃpāyana dijo: Oh descendiente de Bharata, oh Janamejaya—Vāsudeva (Kṛṣṇa) permaneció allí mismo junto a Pārtha (Arjuna), morando en la deleitosa ciudad de Śakraprastha (Indraprastha).
वैशम्पायन उवाच
The verse highlights the dharmic value of steadfast companionship and wise presence: Kṛṣṇa (Vāsudeva), portrayed as mahātman, remains with Arjuna in the capital, implying that righteous leadership is strengthened by virtuous counsel and loyal alliance.
Vaiśaṃpāyana tells King Janamejaya that Vāsudeva stayed together with Arjuna in the beautiful city of Śakraprastha/Indraprastha, indicating Kṛṣṇa’s continued association with the Pāṇḍava center of power at that point in the story.
