Chapter 213
कृत्वा मम परित्राणं तव धर्मो न लुप्यते । यदि वाप्यस्य धर्मस्य सूक्ष्मो5पि स्याद् व्यतिक्रम:,मेरी रक्षा करनेसे आपके धर्मका लोप नहीं होगा। यदि आपके इस धर्मका थोड़ा-सा व्यतिक्रम भी हो जाय तो भी मुझे प्राणदान देनेसे तो आपको महान् धर्म होगा ही। अतः मेरे स्वामी कुन्तीकुमार अर्जुन! मैं आपकी भक्त हूँ, मुझे स्वीकार कीजिये; यह आर्तरक्षण सत्पुरुषोंका मत है
kṛtvā mama paritrāṇaṃ tava dharmo na lupyate | yadi vāpy asya dharmasya sūkṣmo 'pi syād vyatikramaḥ ||
«Al concederme protección, tu dharma no se verá disminuido. Y aun si, en este asunto, hubiera la más mínima desviación de ese dharma, con todo, al devolverme la vida, sin duda obtendrías una rectitud mayor.»
