उच्चैःश्रवसः वर्णविपणः तथा नागशापः
Uccaiḥśravas Color-Wager and the Nāga Curse
एतदत्यद्भुतं दृष्टवा दानवानां समुत्थित: । अमृतार्थे महान् नादो ममेदमिति जल्पताम्,यह अत्यन्त अद्भुत दृश्य देखकर दानवोंमें अमृतके लिये कोलाहल मच गया। वे सब कहने लगे “यह मेरा है, यह मेरा है”
etad atyadbhutaṃ dṛṣṭvā dānavānāṃ samutthitaḥ | amṛtārthe mahān nādo mamedaṃ iti jalpatām ||
Dijo Śaunaka: Al contemplar aquel prodigio sin igual, se alzó entre los Dānavas un gran clamor, movidos por el ansia del amṛta. Y cada cual, posesivo, gritaba: «¡Es mío! ¡Es mío!»
