ते वयं पाण्डवज्येष्ठं तरुणं वृद्धशीलिनम् । अभिषिज्चाम साध्वद्य सत्यकारुण्यवेदिनम्,'पाण्डवोंके बड़े भाई युधिष्ठिर यद्यपि अभी तरुण हैं, तो भी उनका शील-स्वभाव वृद्धोंके समान है। वे सत्यवादी, दयालु और वेदवेत्ता हैं; अतः अब हमलोग उन्हींका विधिपूर्वक राज्याभिषेक करें
te vayaṁ pāṇḍava-jyeṣṭhaṁ taruṇaṁ vṛddha-śīlinam | abhiṣiñcāma sādhv adya satya-kāruṇya-vedinam ||
«Así pues, consagremos hoy, conforme al rito, al primogénito de los Pāṇḍavas, Yudhiṣṭhira: aunque joven en años, posee la conducta y la firmeza de los ancianos. Es devoto de la verdad, conoce la compasión y está versado en los Vedas; por ello, realicemos su unción real según la debida ceremonia.»
