The Burning of the Lac House and the Pāṇḍavas’ Concealed Escape
As a colophon, the verse does not teach through direct instruction; it frames the ethical arc of the preceding episode: how public recognition and social elevation (abhiṣeka) can intensify questions of dharma—identity, merit, loyalty, and the consequences of honor granted or withheld.
This is the chapter-ending marker stating that the chapter on Karṇa’s abhiṣeka (consecration/installation) has concluded within the Sambhava Parva of the Ādi Parva.
