न मा्महसि धर्मज्ञ वक्तुमेवं कथंचन । धर्मपत्नीमभिरतां त्वयि राजीवलोचने,“धर्मज्ञ! आप मुझसे किसी तरह ऐसी बात न कहें; मैं आपकी धर्मपत्नी हूँ और कमलके समान विशाल नेत्रोंवाले आपमें ही अनुराग रखती हूँ
na māṁ mahasi dharmajña vaktum evaṁ kathaṁcana | dharmapatnīm abhiratāṁ tvayi rājīvalocane ||
Ella dijo: «Oh conocedor del dharma, no me hables de ningún modo así. Soy tu esposa legítima conforme al dharma, y, oh de ojos de loto, mi amor y mi fidelidad están puestos sólo en ti.»
