Uttara Bhaga es la segunda sección del Linga Purana, dedicada al fin supremo de la vida espiritual: la moksha (liberación), el yoga y la Gran Grandeza de Shiva. Enseña que reconocer a Shiva como la Realidad última—más allá del nacimiento y la muerte—disuelve la ignorancia que sostiene el samsara. El yoga se presenta como una vía de purificación interior: dominio de la mente y los sentidos, recogimiento, contemplación y samadhi orientados a Shiva. La bhakti (devoción amorosa) y la jñana (sabiduría) se integran para que la práctica no sea mera técnica, sino transformación del corazón. Uttara Bhaga exalta la mahimā de Shiva, su gloria inconmensurable que permea el universo y habita en el ātman. Mediante la pūjā, la recitación de mantras y una vida conforme al dharma, el buscador es guiado hacia la paz estable y la libertad espiritual definitiva.
