Adhyaya 89: शौचाचारलक्षणम् — सदाचार, भैक्ष्यचर्या, प्रायश्चित्त, द्रव्यशुद्धि, आशौच-निर्णय
द्वादश्यां धर्मतत्त्वज्ञं श्रौतस्मार्तप्रवर्तकम् त्रयोदश्यां जडां नारीं सर्वसंकरकारिणीम्
dvādaśyāṃ dharmatattvajñaṃ śrautasmārtapravartakam trayodaśyāṃ jaḍāṃ nārīṃ sarvasaṃkarakāriṇīm
En el duodécimo día lunar, (debe honrarse) a quien conoce los verdaderos principios del dharma, y sostiene y promueve tanto las disciplinas védicas (śrauta) como las smārta. En el decimotercer día, (debe evitarse el trato con) una mujer de entendimiento torpe, causa de toda confusión y de mezclas dañinas que trastornan el orden correcto.
