व्यपोहनस्तवनिरूपण-प्रसङ्गे नक्तभोजन-शिवव्रतविधिः (वार्षिक-प्रतिमास-क्रमः)
सोपवासं चतुर्दश्यां भवेदुभयपक्षयोः रुद्राय पौर्णमास्यां तु दद्याद्वै घृतकम्बलम्
sopavāsaṃ caturdaśyāṃ bhavedubhayapakṣayoḥ rudrāya paurṇamāsyāṃ tu dadyādvai ghṛtakambalam
En el decimocuarto día lunar de ambas quincenas debe observarse el voto con ayuno; y en la luna llena, ofrézcase en verdad a Rudra una manta de lana ungida con ghee. Este dāna purifica al paśu (alma atada) y sostiene el culto a Śiva que conduce a la liberación del pāśa (cautiverio) bajo la gracia de Pati (el Señor).
