FAQs

It links proper Śiva-pūjā in Puṣya-māsa with a disciplined vow (naktabhojana), presenting worship as both outer rite and inner restraint that purifies pāpa and supports the four puruṣārthas.

Śiva is implied as Pati—the purifying Lord—whose worship removes pasha-like impurities (pāpa) binding the pashu (individual soul), orienting the practitioner toward mokṣa.

A vrata-based discipline: performing complete Śiva worship during Puṣya month and observing naktabhojana (eating only at night) as a restraint supporting purification and devotion.
