यदुवंश-प्रवचनम्: हैहय-क्रोष्टु-वंशविस्तारः (कृतवीर्यार्जुनादि, ज्यामघ-विदर्भ-शात्वत-पर्यन्तम्)
तस्य चासीद्दृढरथः शकुनिस्तस्य चात्मजः तस्मात् करम्भः सम्भूतो देवरातो ऽभवत्ततः
tasya cāsīddṛḍharathaḥ śakunistasya cātmajaḥ tasmāt karambhaḥ sambhūto devarāto 'bhavattataḥ
De él nació Dṛḍharatha; su hijo fue Śakuni. De Śakuni surgió Karambha, y después nació Devarāta. Así continuó la estirpe real bajo el gobierno invisible de Pati (Śiva), mientras los paśu (las almas) transitan por la sucesión encarnada, atados por los lazos del karma (pāśa).
