Adhyaya 50 — देवपुर्यः, पुराणि, आयतनानि च; श्रीकण्ठाधिपत्य-प्रतिपादनम्

अष्टौ पुराण्युदीर्णानि दानवानां द्विजोत्तमाः सुवर्णकोटरे पुण्ये राक्षसानां महात्मनाम्

aṣṭau purāṇyudīrṇāni dānavānāṃ dvijottamāḥ suvarṇakoṭare puṇye rākṣasānāṃ mahātmanām

Oh el mejor de los nacidos dos veces, ocho Purāṇas fueron proclamados entre los Dānavas, dentro de la santa Caverna de Oro, para los Rākṣasas de gran alma, a fin de que el dharma fuese recordado y se aflojaran los lazos (pāśa) de la ignorancia bajo el Señor, el Pati.
