उरुक्रमस्य देवस्य मायावामनरूपिण: । कीर्तौ पत्न्यां बृहच्छ्लोकस्तस्यासन् सौभगादय: ॥ ८ ॥
urukramasya devasya māyā-vāmana-rūpiṇaḥ kīrtau patnyāṁ bṛhacchlokas tasyāsan saubhagādayaḥ
El dios Urukrama, dotado de múltiples potencias, por Su propia energía apareció en la forma de Vāmana, el enano divino. En el vientre de Su esposa llamada Kīrti engendró un hijo, Bṛhatśloka, quien tuvo muchos hijos, encabezados por Saubhaga.
