Diti’s Puṁsavana Vow, Indra’s Intervention, and the Birth of the Maruts
दितिरुत्थाय ददृशे कुमाराननलप्रभान् । इन्द्रेण सहितान् देवी पर्यतुष्यदनिन्दिता ॥ ६८ ॥
ditir utthāya dadṛśe kumārān anala-prabhān indreṇa sahitān devī paryatuṣyad aninditā
Por haber adorado a la Suprema Personalidad de Dios, Diti quedó completamente purificada. Al levantarse del lecho, vio a sus cuarenta y nueve hijos junto con Indra. Todos brillaban como el fuego y estaban en amistad con Indra; por ello la irreprochable diosa se sintió muy complacida.
