Vṛtrāsura Instructs Indra on Providence and Devotion; The Slaying of Vṛtrāsura
This verse explains that even when a devotee appears to be overpowered—like being swallowed by an enemy—he can remain unharmed by the Lord’s protection through Yogamāyā.
Śukadeva describes that Indra did not die inside Vṛtrāsura because he was safeguarded by the Supreme Person’s arrangement and the power of Yogamāyā.
The verse encourages taking shelter of the Lord through sincere devotion, cultivating steadiness and courage even when circumstances seem overwhelming.
