In this verse, Damaghoṣa is identified as the king of Cedi who marries Śrutaśravā, linking royal lineages described in Canto 9’s genealogies.
Śukadeva Gosvāmī narrates dynastic details to connect key royal families and trace the historical line leading toward the appearance and associates of Lord Kṛṣṇa.
They show how dharma and destiny unfold through generations, helping readers see the Lord’s pastimes within a coherent sacred history rather than isolated stories.
