ततश्च सहदेवोऽभूत् सोमापिर्यच्छ्रुतश्रवा: । परीक्षिरनपत्योऽभूत् सुरथो नाम जाह्नव: ॥ ९ ॥
tataś ca sahadevo ’bhūt somāpir yac chrutaśravāḥ parīkṣir anapatyo ’bhūt suratho nāma jāhnavaḥ
De Jarāsandha nació Sahadeva; de Sahadeva, Somāpi; y de Somāpi, Śrutaśravā. Parīkṣi, hijo de Kuru, no tuvo descendencia; pero Jahnu, hijo de Kuru, tuvo un hijo llamado Suratha.
