The First Step in God Realization: The Glory of Hearing and the Virāṭ-Rūpa Meditation
This verse maps these subterranean realms onto the limbs of the Lord’s Universal Form: Sutala as His knees, and Vitala and Atala as His thighs—teaching a devotional way to understand cosmic geography.
To give Parīkṣit a practical, contemplative method for God-realization—seeing the entire universe as the Lord’s form—so the mind becomes steady in remembrance and devotion.
Train yourself to see the world as sacred and connected to the Supreme—reducing exploitation and increasing reverence, gratitude, and mindful devotion in daily actions.
