It lists major narrative sections: the Pracetās, Dakṣa’s disrupted sacrifice, and the histories of Dhruva, Pṛthu, Prācīnabarhi, Nārada’s dialogue, Priyavrata, Nābhi, Ṛṣabha, and Bharata.
This chapter functions as a concluding synopsis of the Bhāgavatam, mapping key episodes so the listener understands the scripture’s scope and devotional message.
By studying how saintly kings and sages combine duty with devotion—turning power, family life, and renunciation into offerings to Bhagavān—one can align daily responsibilities with bhakti.
