Kṛṣṇa Defeats Bāṇāsura and Receives Śiva’s Prayers
The Śoṇitapura Battle and the Jvara Episode
This verse describes Bhagavān Śrī Kṛṣṇa using His razor-edged discus to decisively neutralize an aggressor’s power, showing the Lord’s swift protection of dharma and His devotees.
Bāṇāsura repeatedly attacked with weapons; Kṛṣṇa severed his many arms to stop the violence and dismantle his destructive strength, like cutting a tree’s branches.
Unchecked power and aggression must be restrained; the verse teaches decisive action against harmful tendencies while trusting that divine justice ultimately protects righteousness.
