Uddhava Sent to Vraja: Consolation to Nanda-Yaśodā and the Gopīs’ Separation
श्रीशुक उवाच इत्युक्त उद्धवो राजन्सन्देशं भर्तुरादृत: । आदाय रथमारुह्य प्रययौ नन्दगोकुलम् ॥ ७ ॥
śrī-śuka uvāca ity ukta uddhavo rājan sandeśaṁ bhartur ādṛtaḥ ādāya ratham āruhya prayayau nanda-gokulam
Śukadeva dijo: Oh Rey, así instruido, Uddhava aceptó con respeto el mensaje de su Señor; subió a su carro y partió hacia Nanda-gokula.
He went as Lord Kṛṣṇa’s trusted messenger, carrying Kṛṣṇa’s words to Nanda, Yaśodā, and the Vraja devotees—especially the gopīs suffering in separation.
Uddhava honors Kṛṣṇa as his master and promptly accepts His instruction with reverence, showing obedient, service-centered bhakti.
A devotee grows by becoming an instrument of divine purpose—carrying uplifting words, serving responsibly, and acting promptly when duty aligns with dharma and devotion.
