Mohinī-mūrti Distributes Amṛta; Rāhu is Severed; Results Differ by Shelter
In this verse, the Lord (as Mohinī) arranges separate rows for both groups and seats them accordingly, setting the stage for the protected distribution of amṛta.
To maintain control over the distribution and ensure the devas would receive the nectar, while the asuras would be tactfully kept from obtaining it.
The verse highlights the value of clear boundaries and orderly arrangement—creating the right structure helps protect what is sacred and prevents conflict.
