Kūrma Supports Mandara; Hālahala Appears; Śiva Becomes Nīlakaṇṭha
उपर्यधश्चात्मनि गोत्रनेत्रयो: परेण ते प्राविशता समेधिता: । ममन्थुरब्धिं तरसा मदोत्कटा महाद्रिणा क्षोभितनक्रचक्रम् ॥ १३ ॥
upary adhaś cātmani gotra-netrayoḥ pareṇa te prāviśatā samedhitāḥ mamanthur abdhiṁ tarasā madotkaṭā mahādriṇā kṣobhita-nakra-cakram
Animados por el Señor, que estaba por encima y por debajo de la montaña y que había entrado en los devas, los asuras, Vāsuki y aun en la propia montaña, los devas y los asuras, casi enloquecidos por el néctar, batieron con ímpetu el Océano de Leche con la gran montaña. El mar se agitó tanto que los cocodrilos quedaron perturbados, pero el batido continuó.
