kó virā́jo mithunatváṃ prá veda ká ṛtū́n ká u kálpam asyā́ḥ | kramā́n kó asyā́ḥ katidhā́ vidúgdhān kó asyā́ dhā́ma katidhā́ vyùṣṭīḥ
Who knoweth forth the paired nature of Virāj? who (knoweth) the Seasons, who indeed her ordered ordinance? Who (knoweth) her steps—how manyfold her milkings-out? who her abodes—how manyfold her dawnings-forth?
Rishi: Atharvanic riddle-seer tradition (variable).
Devata: Virāj (as cosmic cow/measure and as source of ordered divisions).
Chandas: Interrogative triṣṭubh-like structure (brahmodya cadence).
