Este himno de un solo verso suplica a Indra que conceda svasty-ayana — un tránsito auspicioso y sin obstáculos — alineando al viajero con los propios senderos de Indra, «descendidos del cielo», que ponen al mundo en movimiento. Al invocar esas rutas divinas como modelo protector, el mantra funciona a la vez como encanto paustika de prosperidad (para el éxito de la empresa) y como salvaguarda apotropaica durante el viaje (contra el percance, la demora y las fuerzas hostiles).
