agním hótāraṃ manye dā́svantaṃ vásuṃ sūnúṃ sáhasaḥ jātávedasaṃ vípraṃ ná jātávedasam | yá ūrdhvayā́ svadhvaró devó devā́cyā kṛ́pā | ghṛtásya víbhrāṣṭim ánu vaṣṭi śócīṣā́juhvā́nasya sárpiṣaḥ
Agni I deem the Hotar, bounteous, a treasure, the Son of Might, Jātavedas—yea, the inspired Jātavedas; who, with his upward flame, the god of goodly rite, by favor of the Gods, with his bright blaze chooses after the gleaming ghee of him who pours the butter-offering.
Rishi: Rigvedic source attribution (Agni hymn tradition; exact r̥ṣi requires RV concordance).
Devata: Agni (Jātavedas)
Chandas: Triṣṭubh (probable; confirm by RV original scansion).
