शुनं हुवेम मघवानमिन्द्रमस्मिन् भरे नृतमं वाजसातौ । शृण्वन्तमुग्रमूतये समत्सु घ्नन्तं वृत्राणि संजितं धनानाम्
śunáṃ huvema maghávānam índram asmín bháre nṛ́tamam vā́ja-sātau | śṛṇvántam ugrám ūtáye samátsu ghnántaṃ vṛtrā́ṇi saṃ-jítaṃ dhánānām
Auspiciously would we invoke Indra the Bounteous, in this encounter, the most heroic, in the winning of the prize;—him who hearkeneth, the fierce, for succour in the battles, smiting the Vṛtras, wholly victorious for the gaining of riches.
Con invocación propicia llamemos a Indra el Generoso — en este encuentro, al más heroico, en la conquista del premio; a él, que escucha, el fiero, para auxilio en las batallas, que hiere a los Vṛtra, plenamente victorioso para obtener riquezas.
