It gives practical Ayurvedic instructions: sesame-oil gandūṣa (oil-holding) to strengthen teeth, and the use of viḍaṅga powder and gomūtra as anti-parasitic (kṛmi-nāśana) measures.
Alongside theology and ritual, the Agni Purana preserves applied health knowledge—here, dental/oral care and anti-parasitic therapeutics—showing its broad coverage of everyday medicine and household treatment protocols.
By promoting bodily cleanliness and disease-removal through sanctioned traditional remedies, the verse supports the broader dharmic ideal of śauca (purity), which is treated as conducive to religious practice and well-being.
