FAQs

No ritual or technical vidyā is taught here; the verse functions as a nominative enumeration of royal women (queens) associated with Krishna in the narrative register.

By preserving structured lists of names within the Krishna-cycle, the Agni Purana acts as a reference compendium—cataloging persons and lineages alongside its many other domains (ritual, polity, medicine, poetics).

Recitation and remembrance of Vaishnava narrative lists is traditionally treated as smṛti-bhakti (devotional recollection), supporting faith and merit through mindful remembrance of Krishna’s sacred history.
