FAQs

Ayurvedic formulation-knowledge: it enumerates specific aromatic and medicinal dravyas (herbs/substances) intended for preparing scented pastes, rubs, or compound preparations.

It preserves a technical materia medica list—names of herbs and aromatics—showing the Agni Purana’s coverage beyond theology into practical sciences like Ayurveda, perfumery, and cosmetic therapeutics.

Such purified fragrant preparations are traditionally linked with bodily cleanliness and auspiciousness, supporting sattvic conduct and fitness for worship, japa, and ritual observances.
