Application: In abhiṣeka, combine correct vessel-technology (perforated pot) with appropriate Vedic mantra-recitation and pure aromatics for consistent sprinkling and sanctification.

FAQs

It prescribes an abhiṣeka method: sprinkling through a hundred-holed golden vessel while reciting specific oṣadhī-related Vedic mantras and applying aromatic substances.

It blends ritual engineering (a perforated vessel for controlled sprinkling), mantra-prayoga (specific ṛk incipits), and herb/fragrance application—showing how Agni Purana integrates liturgy with practical, quasi-medicinal substances.

Abhiṣeka with mantra, herbs, and fragrances is a purification-and-consecration act, intended to sanctify the recipient/object and generate ritual merit through correct mantra and method.
