Concept: Nyāsa is not only installation (nyāsa) but also regulated withdrawal (saṃhāra) through mudrā and dhyāna.

Application: Conclude mantra-installation by mentally gathering the energies back to the center and sealing with a protective mudrā to prevent ‘leakage’ of attention/ritual intent.

FAQs

It teaches a specific nyāsa sequence on fingertips and thumbs, followed by rapid withdrawal (saṃhāra) using the bound Śūla-mudrā—an applied instruction in tantric/ritual mudrā-vidhi.

Beyond myth and theology, it preserves precise procedural details of worship technology—hand-gestures (mudrā), mantra-installation (nyāsa), and their dissolution—showing the text’s practical ritual manual character.

Correct nyāsa and its controlled saṃhāra are intended to stabilize the rite, internalize the mantra-power through meditation, and conclude the ritual cleanly—minimizing error (doṣa) and supporting purification and focused devotion.
