Explanation of the Rite of Initiation

एवमेवाधिकारस्थो गृही कर्मण्यतन्द्रितः आत्मानं शोधयंस्तिष्ठेद् यावद्रागक्षयो भवेत्

evamevādhikārastho gṛhī karmaṇyatandritaḥ ātmānaṃ śodhayaṃstiṣṭhed yāvadrāgakṣayo bhavet

Del mismo modo, el cabeza de familia—establecido en su debido adhikāra (competencia) e incansable en la acción prescrita—debe perseverar purificándose a sí mismo, hasta que sobrevenga el agotamiento del rāga (apego).
