All this—this entire universe, this world of the moving and the unmoving—exists as the śakti-endowed manifestation of Lord Viṣṇu, whose very nature is the Supreme Brahman.
Sage Parāśara (teaching Maitreya)
Cosmic Hierarchy: Brahmanda
Concept: The entire moving and unmoving universe is a śakti-endowed manifestation of Viṣṇu, whose essential nature is Para-Brahman.
Vedantic Theme: Brahman
Application: Anchor devotion in metaphysics: worship Viṣṇu not merely as a deity among others but as the Brahman whose powers appear as the whole world.
Vishishtadvaita: Śakti-samanvita Para-Brahman: Viṣṇu is transcendent Brahman yet manifests through real powers and a real world (cit–acit), central to qualified non-dualism.
Vishnu Form: Para-Brahman
Bhakti Type: Shanta
Lakshmi Presence: Sri
Antaryamin: Yes
Jagat Karana: Yes
It asserts that every category of existence—living beings, matter, and all phenomena—falls within the single cosmic order sustained as the manifestation of Vishnu’s power.
Parāśara frames the universe not as independent, but as śakti-samanvita—an expression dependent on Vishnu, who is identified as Para Brahman.
Vishnu is presented as the Supreme Reality (Para Brahman) whose energies ground and pervade the entire cosmos, supporting a theistic metaphysics where the world is real yet reliant on Him.
