Gandharvas, Yakṣas, Daityas, and all other divine-born orders; humans and animals; mountains, oceans, rivers, and trees—all are encompassed within the manifested world.
Sage Parāśara (teaching Maitreya)
Creation Stage: Secondary
Cosmic Hierarchy: Lokas
Concept: All classes of beings and all features of the world—celestial, human, animal, and terrestrial—are comprehended within the manifested order dependent on the Supreme.
Vedantic Theme: Dharma
Application: Practice equal vision (sama-darśana) by recognizing a single divine ground behind diverse life-forms and natural structures.
Vishishtadvaita: The world’s plurality (cit and acit) is real yet constitutes the Lord’s body (śarīra), sustained by his inner rule.
Vishnu Form: Para-Brahman
Bhakti Type: Shanta
Antaryamin: Yes
Jagat Karana: Yes
The verse presents an all-inclusive sweep of creation—sentient classes and the natural world—showing that the manifested cosmos is a single ordered whole, not a set of unrelated realms.
By enumerating divine orders (devayonis), human and animal life, and the great structures of nature (mountains, oceans, rivers, trees), Parāśara frames creation as comprehensive and systematically constituted.
Even when Vishnu is not named in the line, the Vishnu Purana’s Sarga teaching treats the totality of beings and elements as arising within the Supreme’s governance—supporting a Vaishnava vision of one ultimate reality expressed through many forms.
