FAQs

It situates the Dānavas within the wider cosmic genealogy, showing how forces opposing dharma also arise within the ordered creation overseen by Vishnu.

Parāśara presents a formal lineage-catalog: naming progenitors and notable descendants (like Vipracitti) to map mythic history and the recurrence of conflicts across ages.

Even when describing Asura lineages, the Purana implies an ordered universe in which all beings and histories unfold under Vishnu’s supreme sovereignty and sustaining power.
